Responsibilities

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the Quality Control team for special lubricants
• Ensure timely and specification-compliant testing of raw materials, intermediate, and finished products
• Manage the release and blocking of batches and evaluate deviations
• Conduct and coordinate root-cause analyses (e.g., Ishikawa, 5-Why) for quality deviations
• Develop and standardize analytical testing methods
• Organize and continuously optimize laboratory workflows and processes
• Ensure the calibration, maintenance, and availability of testing equipment
• Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain departments
• Support and participate in audits such as ISO 9001 and NSF

Requirements

• Degree in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Process Engineering) or a technical qualification with extensive professional experience
• Several years of experience in quality control, ideally within the lubricant, chemical, or process industries
• Profound knowledge of analytical testing methods and quality management systems (ISO 9001)
• Experience in evaluating test results and making release decisions
• Proficiency in root-cause analysis methods
• Fluency in both German and English
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong leadership and communication skills
