Teamlead Engineering – Supply Tech

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of core backend applications, defining a scalable and performant architecture.
• Guide the team through complex technical challenges, including large-scale middleware rewrites.
• Partner with the Product Lead to balance business features with technical goals and debt reduction.
• Mentor and coach Backend Engineers to simplify system complexity and advance their careers.
• Lead the hiring and onboarding of engineering talent.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for the unit regarding architecture, API schemas, and integration contracts.
• Research and propose modern technologies in message queuing, data normalization, and observability.

Requirements

• Proven track record of executing "Strangler Fig" migrations or similar legacy-to-modern architectural shifts.
• Deep experience with high-volume data pipelines, normalization, and message queues (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Strong experience with industry standards and dismantling over-engineered custom frameworks.
• Ability to manage complex project timelines and backlogs in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
• Expert mindset regarding logging, tracing, and monitoring to improve system visibility.
• Passion for people development, mentoring, and fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
