About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement safety management plans and drive corporate SHE guidelines
- Conduct incident investigations and daily walkthrough safety inspections
- Implement and drive Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines
- Manage safety equipment, emergency equipment, and fire/smoke detection systems
- Organize safety committee meetings, monthly safety campaigns, and mock drills
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Factories and PESO
- Maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and implement LOTO standards
- Conduct audits for solvent handling systems and manage internal/external safety audits
- Implement industrial hygiene and safety training schedules
- Oversee Occupational Health Centre activities and safety promotional activities
Requirements
- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or a Master in Chemistry
- Industrial Safety Diploma from SBTET
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Hands-on experience with SHEHUB
