Team Member

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by engaging with customers and their pets
• Support selling initiatives by advising on products and services
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
• Maintain store appearance through merchandise recovery and janitorial duties
• Assist with freight processes, plan-o-gram execution, and assembly of merchandise
• Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals, including sanitizing holding tanks
• Assist customers with loading purchases and performing price changes

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and count accurately
• Ability to lift and move merchandise or live animals weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for entire shifts
• Flexible availability to work varied hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail experience
• Knowledge of pets, live animals, pet food, or pet products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and problem-solving abilities
