Team Manager - Medical Coding

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 40-60 FTEs in medical coding operations to ensure high-quality service delivery and SLA compliance.
• Streamline day-to-day coding processes within the US Healthcare domain and implement strategic plans for new technologies and tools.
• Manage client interactions, customer engagement, and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee project planning, process documentation, and work allocation to ensure on-time delivery of services.
• Monitor team performance through daily operational scorecards and KPIs, implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
• Drive productivity improvement projects and identify technology solutions to enhance coding efficiency.
• Execute cost-saving measures and manage workflows within established budgets.

Requirements

• 13+ years of professional experience, with significant expertise in medical coding.
• Proven experience managing a large team of 40-60 FTEs.
• Professional coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Deep expertise in ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding across multiple specialties.
• Strong knowledge of the US Healthcare domain and the ability to interpret complex medical records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities.
