About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain client referral relationships with Realtors, builders, developers, CPAs, and financial planners
- Meet with prospective borrowers to review and analyze credit and financial data
- Coordinate customer interaction from application to closing
- Provide professional service to borrowers and internal business partners
- Stay informed of local real estate market trends and changing mortgage regulations (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA)
- Negotiate price, terms, and conditions for mortgages
- Adhere to organizational procedures for loan processing
Requirements
- Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
- Thorough understanding of the local real estate market and mortgage industry
- Knowledge of mortgage lending requirements for FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs
- Ability to analyze and explain complex loan programs and financing options
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of loan origination experience
- Bachelor's degree
