Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Manage front-line roles including Progression Coaches, supporting recruitment, supervision, and performance management
• Conduct PIE informed one-to-one sessions and team meetings
• Oversee caseload allocation and management to ensure support meets needs assessments and risk management
• Ensure services for young people are safe, responsive, and outcome-led
• Perform regular quality assurance file audits and maintain accurate support plans
• Monitor move-on plans to ensure young people transition to independent accommodation
• Oversee the delivery of life skills programmes and access to learning and work opportunities
• Manage housing services for accommodation-based schemes, including maintenance, rental income, and tenancy issues
• Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours service
• Build partnerships with commissioners, funders, and external services to expand supported housing activities

Requirements

• NVQ 4 in Health & Social Care, Advice & Guidance, Leadership or equivalent (or working towards)
• Level 3 qualification in housing management or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
• Experience in Youth Work, Residential/Social Work, Probation/Criminal Justice, Community Work, Education, or Housing and Support
• Experience managing staff and addressing performance issues
• Up-to-date knowledge of welfare rights and relevant legislation

Preferred Qualifications

• NVQ 5 in Health & Social Care or Housing
• Level 4 qualification in housing management or equivalent
