Team Leader - Marine & Offshore

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end travel management for seafarers, including international, regional, and domestic flights, accommodation, visas, and transit arrangements.
• Manage complex crew rotations (sign-on/sign-off), including last-minute changes and emergency travel scenarios.
• Act as the primary point of contact for maritime and offshore clients to ensure high service levels.
• Optimize costs by leveraging marine fares through multiple GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and airline/interline agreements.
• Ensure strict compliance with global immigration, visa, and maritime travel regulations.
• Proactively monitor and resolve travel disruptions such as delays, cancellations, or geopolitical restrictions.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide direction, coaching, and guidance to team members.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency within the travel department.
• Maintain accurate airline documentation, reporting, and customer-centric MIS reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 2 years in a specialized supervisory role.
• IATA certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and smart buying from multiple vendors.
• In-depth knowledge of marine fares, visa requirements, and crew travel regulations.
• Strong expertise in GDS PNR creation and management to minimize ADM exposure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 operational environment.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with offshore travel companies, shipping companies, or marine travel agencies.
• Exposure to global markets, specifically Middle East, Asia, and Europe ship crew/rig movements.
