About the Company

SGS Statutory Services Belgium is an Approved Inspection Body affiliated with the international SGS group. We are active in the regulatory inspection and expertise sector, including periodic controls of lifting equipment, elevators, pressure vessels, industrial steam appliances, and electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of a team of inspectors and Account Leaders in the lifting discipline
• Optimize inspector availability through effective planning to maximize efficiency
• Organize periodic technical and safety meetings
• Lead the integration and onboarding of new employees in the field
• Conduct selection and evaluation interviews and identify training needs
• Maintain professional skills by remaining partially active as an inspector
• Provide first-line technical support and coordinate with technical experts
• Ensure correct implementation of work methods, procedures, and uniform work agreements
• Analyze team performance and propose process optimizations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Industrial/Civil Engineer, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in team leadership
• Relevant technical and functional skills in lifting equipment
• Strong skills in planning, organization, and follow-up
• Ability to work with initiative, integrity, and clear communication
• Empathic and assertive leadership style
