Team Leader - Japan Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Admin Executives managing invoicing, reconciliations, credit notes, and refunds
• Oversee the complete invoicing lifecycle including creation, validation, posting, and e-invoice upload
• Supervise bill-back processing and ensure timely settlement with finance and clients
• Act as the primary escalation point for clients regarding invoicing, credit notes, and adjustments
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards such as GST and e-invoicing
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to optimize invoicing workflows
• Publish regular MIS reports on productivity, accuracy ratios, and financial volumes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or finance
• 5-7+ years of experience in invoicing or finance operations
• 2+ years of experience in a team-lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME) role
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of GST, e-invoicing, and financial reconciliation processes
• Experience using Salesforce and ERP tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the travel industry with exposure to GDS or booking systems
• Japanese language proficiency
