Team Leader Finishing (Balancing Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Lead the shopfloor team for finishing turbine shafts, with end-to-end responsibility for the "SmartBalancing Cell" automated production line.
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of finished shafts while monitoring process stability and manufacturing costs.
• Maintain shopfloor safety with a goal of zero lost-time incidents per year.
• Manage resource planning, training, and professional development for direct reports.
• Oversee machine maintenance and provide expert technical leadership in balancing technology, including NC systems and automation.
• Collaborate closely with production planning (AVOR), control departments, and other manufacturing lines.

Requirements

• Completed technical vocational training or a degree from a University of Applied Sciences (FH).
• 5+ years of experience in shopfloor leadership roles.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing technology with a specific focus on balancing technology.
• Proven track record in implementing and scaling automated production lines.
• Proficiency in SAP and MES systems.
• Strong knowledge of data analytics and experience with process capability and measurement capability analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with control systems (Leitsysteme).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.
• Practical programming experience in C# or Python.
