Team Leader Carpentry

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing workshop team to meet tight event deadlines
• Allocate daily tasks to team members based on project schedules and skill levels
• Build, repair, and modify scenery, exhibit stands, and props using wood, laminates, plastics, and metal
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD drawings, or sketches
• Apply high-quality finishes including painting, laminating, and trimming
• Operate and maintain shop equipment such as table saws, routers, and CNC machines
• Manage raw materials inventory and coordinate with purchasing
• Enforce strict health and safety rules and maintain a 5S compliant workspace

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry scenic construction or exhibit fabrication
• Proven ability to lead a team with strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings
• Experience with woodworking or scenic painting
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems or inventory software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
• Ability to work in a workshop environment with noise, dust, and heat
• Ability to handle physical requirements including lifting and standing for long periods
