Team Leader – Alternative Fund Services - Private Fund Services

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions, including booking and reviewing journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Prepare and review fund-level financial statements, including consolidated balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
• Prepare and review investor capital calls and distribution notices
• Review the work of team members and provide feedback to ensure timely delivery of high-quality output
• Interpret fund agreements to determine their impact on financial reporting
• Proactively communicate and escalate issues to management
• Work on special and ad hoc projects for internal initiatives and external clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, ICWA, CA, MBA, or CPA
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience specifically in private equity or hedge fund accounting
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and exercise professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with various private equity legal and investment structures
• Knowledge of various waterfall models
• Experience using partnership accounting applications such as Investran
