Team Lead/Deputy Manager - Strategic Sourcing

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for machining, casting, and forging based on spend analysis and market intelligence
• Lead RFI/RFQ processes, supplier selection, and independent sourcing decisions
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term contracts to drive cost optimization
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and monitor performance using structured KPIs
• Proactively manage supplier risk, capacity, and delivery reliability
• Deliver annual cost-reduction targets through value engineering and TCO methodologies
• Lead new part development activities to ensure alignment with organizational needs and total cost of ownership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or production engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement
• Technical knowledge of machining, casting, forging, and heat treatment processes
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives
• Experience working with both local and global supplier bases
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
