Team Lead - Thermofluids Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead complex thermofluids analysis for launch vehicles and space systems, including CFD simulations and heat transfer analysis
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with design and test engineers to iterate concepts and validate performance
• Shape technical direction through peer reviews, establishing methodology, and documenting best practices
• Mentor and develop the team by coaching junior analysts and establishing performance management plans

Requirements

• Advanced engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar field
• 5+ years of industry experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Marine sectors
• Expert-level CFD and thermal modeling skills using packages like Fluent, CFX, STAR-CCM+, or Thermal Desktop
• Proficiency with NX CAD/Teamcenter
• Engineering programming expertise in Python (numpy, pandas, scipy, matplotlib)
• Strong communication and ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural analysis background and familiarity with structural mechanics
• Knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-STD-1540, NASA-STD-5001, or ECSS-E-HB-32
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including conventional machining and additive manufacturing
• Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers
