Team Lead Software Engineering, VP

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering Scrum teams to build and maintain Charles River components and products
• Manage development staff, including work assignment, performance management, and professional development
• Act as Scrum Master to lead Agile processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Partner with Product Owners to design software solutions and manage the product backlog
• Provide expert technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and advise staff on complex technical problems
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or related languages
• Review testing strategies and plans to ensure high product quality
• Mentor team members to cultivate technical and financial domain expertise

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• 10-12 years of professional software engineering experience
• 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• 5 years of experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming and relational databases (RDBMS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize results for upper management

Preferred Qualifications

• MS degree in a technical field
• 5 years of experience in financial services developing solutions for IBOR, RECON, or Wealth Management
• Experience with compiler/interpreter technologies, embedded systems, or operating systems
