Team Lead Procurement Indirect Material and Prototypes

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership to the procurement team, including mentoring and resource allocation.
• Develop and execute advanced sourcing strategies for non-production goods and R&D prototype materials.
• Lead high-stakes negotiations for R&D contracts, pricing, and framework agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from supplier qualification to managing purchase orders via ERP and Jira.
• Proactively analyze spending patterns and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Manage supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and compliance standards.
• Optimize digital procurement processes and tools, utilizing systems like Oracle NetSuite.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders in R&D, Finance, IT, and Logistics.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in a leadership or team lead role.
• Profound knowledge of supply chain forecasting, material planning, and bottleneck troubleshooting.
• Exceptional contract negotiation skills and experience managing supplier performance.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a structured, goal-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the defense sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the defense, aerospace, or high-tech electronics industries.
• Fluency in both German and English.
