Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision of patient access functions, including scheduling and preregistration processes.
- Develop and implement methods to drive continuous process improvement.
- Educate scheduling and preregistration staff regarding departmental processes and workflows.
- Communicate effectively with all departments and clinics involved in patient access.
- Resolve operational issues and determine optimal solutions for complex situations.
- Lead and motivate the team to maintain high standards of service and data accuracy.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 1+ years of experience in patient access or a large hospital/medical front office.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, insurance, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work tactfully with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in customer service and data collection processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must obtain Clarivate Certified Access Specialist Certification within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
