Team Lead, Payments

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Payment Sales Specialists to build a high-accountability culture
• Own day-to-day operations including workload prioritization, coverage, and performance management
• Drive execution against onboarding goals, activation timelines, and time-to-first-transaction metrics
• Monitor onboarding queues and application statuses to identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks
• Oversee rate reviews, pricing updates, and approval workflows with high accuracy and compliance
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex merchant scenarios and onboarding exceptions
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, RevOps, and Risk teams to improve data visibility and workflows

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Payments, merchant onboarding, sales operations, or a related revenue role
• 1+ years of formal people leadership experience or experience coaching and mentoring peers
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational or productivity goals
• Experience managing high-volume workflows, queues, or SLAs
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and reporting dashboards
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
• Ability to interpret data to identify process improvements and workflow bottlenecks
