About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a diverse production team to ensure efficient, high-quality assembly and adherence to safety standards
- Lead safety toolbox talks and participate in monthly plant safety meetings and 6S Kaizen events
- Perform in-process layered audits to ensure procedures and documentation are completed thoroughly
- Maintain LDM and hour-by-hour boards to track team performance and work order status
- Review and execute work-center schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Assign daily tasks to operators and coordinate with the Maintenance department to optimize machine uptime
- Manage rework and scrap processes while maintaining accurate inventory data
- Work with the training coordinator to develop and grow team members
Requirements
- Associates degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 1-3 years of leadership experience in a team lead or similar role
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to use logic to solve problems
- High attention to detail and the ability to follow complex production instructions
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with a diverse, multilingual population
