Team Lead Microbiology

Responsibilities

• Lead the microbiological QC team both technically and disciplinarily
• Ensure compliance with all relevant GMP regulations and smooth QC operations
• Responsible for the verification and validation of microbiological methods and data release
• Manage customer projects in microbial analysis and maintain contact with international partners
• Create, review, and approve protocols, reports, and SOPs
• Monitor equipment qualification and availability, handle deviations, and support audits and inspections

Requirements

• Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience leading a microbiological laboratory in a GMP quality control environment
• Expertise in microbial analysis and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in handling microorganisms and managing deviations (OOX)
• Ideally experience with continuous improvement methods like Lean or Six Sigma
• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and teamwork
• Very good German and English language skills
