Team Lead Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of local mechanics to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of heavy machinery
• Conduct inspections and ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and safety guidelines
• Provide preventive maintenance and execute repairs for various heavy earth-moving machines
• Act as the liaison between the back office (procurement, administration, logistics) and the on-site mechanics team
• Prepare reports on equipment status, workshop performance, and operational challenges
• Develop and implement efficient work schedules to ensure effective team operations
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Travel frequently to visit and inspect workshops within the GCC or other project sites
• Report directly to the Workshop Manager regarding progress, challenges, and team performance

Requirements

• Minimum of secondary education in mechanics (automotive or similar field) or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic, specifically with heavy machinery and earth-moving equipment
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or similar workshop management software
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and punctuality
• Proven ability to manage and oversee teams to ensure productivity
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work abroad for an extended period

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on large-scale international projects
• Experience within the heavy machinery or earthmoving industry
