About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and uphold level design quality standards
  • Coach and mentor level designers through constructive feedback
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, and track tasks within the team
  • Balance creative goals with production constraints and timelines
  • Review individual work and provide actionable feedback
  • Partner with production to identify risks and support problem-solving
  • Represent the level design team in discussions with project leadership
  • Coordinate bug fixing and polish efforts for level design content
  • Support onboarding and hiring efforts to maintain team effectiveness

Requirements

  • People leadership experience including coaching designers
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Clear design judgment and a structured approach to decision-making
  • Planning and estimation skills for predictable production
  • Knowledge of real-time constraints, 3D engines, and level editing tools
  • Experience with production tracking tools like JIRA or Perforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on third-person camera games
  • Experience with titles featuring slower-paced, investigative gameplay
