About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure patients and customers are delighted
- Assist customers with eyewear selections and provide expert product recommendations
- Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder
- Manage key optical and lab processes to ensure high-quality results
- Perform edging and mounting of lenses and ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards
- Maintain and clean lab tools and systems while demonstrating safe work practices
- Train and support associates to strengthen their knowledge of lens and lab technology
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- Strong optical and retail experience
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
- Leadership and training experience
- Edging and mounting experience
- Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with cash registers, computers, and calculators
Preferred Qualifications
- State licensure and/or ABO Certification
- LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
- Completion of LensCrafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program
- Experience with optical machinery and instruments
- AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification
