Team Lead Fraud Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage Fraud Operations experts by setting clear priorities and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Optimize workflows, controls, tooling, escalation paths, and QA frameworks to ensure scalability.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex, high-impact fraud cases and live incidents.
• Use data and operational metrics to identify structural weaknesses and drive system upgrades.
• Partner with Fraud Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Compliance to translate operational insights into automated detection.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in fraud operations, banking fraud, or payments risk within fintech or banking.
• Proven track record of managing and guiding fraud operations teams in high-volume environments.
• Deep understanding of banking and payments fraud typologies, including account takeover and scam patterns.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with Python or other programming languages for automation or tooling improvements is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus.
• Ability to lead teams against strict SLAs and quality standards under pressure.
