Team Lead, Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ~5 Software Engineers in India, providing technical direction and hands-on contribution
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for the Data Intelligence Hub's data platform
• Design and evolve scalable, data-centric backend services and pipelines for Digital Twin and AI use cases
• Define and enforce data modeling standards and architectural decisions across storage, lakehouse, and streaming systems
• Build end-to-end data pipelines that are incremental, idempotent, and resilient
• Partner with AI/ML teams to make data models and pipelines agent-ready
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent in India

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building backend or data-intensive systems
• 3+ years in a Tech Lead or Team Lead role
• Strong Python engineering skills with production-grade system design experience
• Deep SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience building incremental, idempotent pipelines handling duplicates and late data
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data stacks (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure, Databricks, Spark, Kafka)
• Strong experience operating and debugging production systems
• Strong communication skills for working with distributed international teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial, IoT, or digital twin experience
• Knowledge graph or complex relational modeling experience
• Experience with AI/LLM systems such as RAG or agents
• Experience building new engineering teams or charters
