Team Lead - Credit Underwriting

About the Company

Caprion (Liqui Loans) is a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending fintech company founded in 2018 in Mumbai. It operates an online platform that connects borrowers and lenders directly, using technology to simplify lending and investing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the Credit underwriting team to ensure high performance and accountability
• Evaluate credit proposals, financials, and borrower risk profiles
• Develop and implement effective credit risk models and assessment frameworks
• Analyze credit and risk data to uncover trends and actionable insights
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Product departments for process alignment
• Review, formulate, and update credit and risk policies in alignment with regulatory standards
• Draft and review professional communications such as BRDs, policy notes, and proposals

Requirements

• 8 to 14 years of professional experience
• Experience in Credit & Risk within NBFCs, Banks, or Fintech companies
• Strong exposure to unsecured loan products such as Consumer, Personal, or Business loans
• Proven experience in managing and developing teams in a fast-paced financial environment
• Sound understanding of risk mitigation frameworks and credit policy design
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA or PGDM preferred
