Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team members to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards.
• Manage all training and cross-training within the assigned Value Stream.
• Establish standard work and work sequences while holding operators accountable.
• Plan daily production, communicate customer tact times, and adjust workforce to meet capacity needs.
• Lead start-of-shift meetings to discuss performance and current day plans.
• Maintain 5S, cell audits, safety observations, and visual management tools.
• Perform daily and weekly audits including product quality, ISO 9001, and Kanban.
• Lead continuous improvement events and provide performance management input to management.
• Manage hazardous waste documentation and compliance in coordination with the EHS department.

Requirements

• High School diploma required; Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to successfully perform all jobs within the production department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding or machining.
• Formal leadership training program completion.
