Team Lead Category Procurement

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership to the procurement team, including mentoring and resource allocation.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate critical supply chain risks, such as long lead times and obsolescence.
• Drive the identification and implementation of second-source components in coordination with Engineering to prevent production stoppages.
• Oversee the optimization of digital procurement processes and tools using ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders including R&D, Production, Quality, and Logistics.
• Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Report directly to the Global Head of Procurement regarding supply chain performance and technology implementation.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, operations, or supply chain management.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or team lead role.
• Profound knowledge of forecasting, material planning, and troubleshooting supply chain bottlenecks.
• Exceptional contract negotiation skills and experience managing supplier performance in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and goal-oriented manner.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the defense sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the defense, aerospace, or high-tech electronics industries.
• Fluency in both German and English.
