Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Support the warehouse supervisory team in adhering to and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Train and coach the warehouse team on utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Oversee the safe loading and unloading of freight from trailers and ocean containers
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, as well as hand jacks, for cargo handling
• Verify paperwork, including Bills of Lading, to ensure accurate counts and report any damages or discrepancies
• Stage cargo safely and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards
• Contribute to the development of new SOPs for new business or process changes

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Minimum of 2 years of previous warehouse operations experience
• Certified forklift operator
• Strong physical stamina and coordination, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work flexible hours and days (Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, and Delivery Orders
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to speak Spanish
