Team Lead Backend Developer (Node.js)

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage backend engineers through regular one-to-one sessions, feedback, and development plans
• Actively write, review, and refactor code to contribute directly to system improvements
• Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) to ensure team alignment and best practices
• Design technical solutions and make key architectural decisions for system enhancements
• Enhance system quality by resolving technical debt and optimizing architecture and data flows
• Assign tasks and balance workloads to ensure efficient and timely delivery of high-quality releases
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers to adopt new technologies and drive company-wide initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional backend development experience
• 3+ years of experience in leadership or management positions
• Strong expertise in Node.js and modern web development
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, system design, and infrastructure
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with RESTful APIs, message brokers, and 3rd party integrations
• Advanced proficiency in English
