Team Lead, B1/C Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the technical delivery of aircraft maintenance inputs, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery.
• Provide technical management and leadership to assigned personnel and technicians.
• Oversee hangar operational standards, including HSE compliance, housekeeping, and 5S.
• Perform Category C certifications and oversee aircraft tasks to support efficient delivery.
• Manage shift-based maintenance and ground activities, including resource allocation and supervision.
• Act as a Health & Safety Representative for the shift, ensuring adherence to all environmental and H&S regulations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, planning, and quality teams to drive tasks to completion and meet production targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and business transformation at the shop floor level.

Requirements

• UK CAA or EASA Part-66 B1.1 or B2 licence with Category C certification.
• Valid type ratings on relevant Bombardier aircraft.
• Proven experience in AOG, line, and heavy maintenance environments.
• Up-to-date UK CAA and/or EASA Part-145 regulatory training.
• Demonstrated leadership or managerial experience, including supervising large teams through complex maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Part-145 requirements and Part-M/CAMO responsibilities.
• Excellent knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and Human Factors.
• Strong decision-making ability and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Proficient with engineering IT systems and general computer literacy.
