Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Junior System Engineers and Interns
• Act as an escalation point for technical and non-technical issues
• Approve PTO and manage team time entry
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and training, including managing feedback and performance
• Own technical projects and provide oversight, guidance, and consultative services to clients
• Conduct end-of-year performance reviews
• Manage relationships for a subset of clients
• Assist with client escalations and participate in on-call rotations
• Attend client meetings and participate in organizational initiatives to improve processes

Requirements

• At least 2 years of people management experience
• At least 5 years of IT experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, or Systems Administration)
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and mobile device troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD, Teams)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Experience with endpoint threat management (e.g., Sophos)
• Basic understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)
• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, Firewalls)
• Experience working in an MSP environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial industry experience with Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, FactSet, or CapIQ
• Experience with ConnectWise suite
• Exposure to Azure or AWS workloads
• Experience with Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, Duo, Okta, or AirWatch
• Experience with Citrix XenApp
• Experience with cybersecurity solutions like Carbon Black, Cylance, Crowdstrike, or SentinelOne
• Experience with Mimecast, IronPort, or Proofpoint
• Advanced understanding of storage and virtualization platforms (Nimble, Pure Storage, NetApp, EMC)
