Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a systems engineering team to deliver the Future Lead-In Fighter System (FLIFS) capability, including aircraft, simulators, and training materials
• Develop high-quality capability documentation and artefacts within the Capability Life Cycle (CLC) and One Defence Capability System (ODCS)
• Coordinate project schedules, risks, budgets, and the preparation of briefings, submissions, and reports
• Provide direction and articulate clear goals to achieve project objectives and manage team knowledge
• Engage and negotiate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and minimize capability risks
• Mentor and provide professional development to team members to mature staff knowledge and skills

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with strong leadership capabilities
• Active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
• Essential experience with Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG)
• Project Management qualification or institutional accreditation
• Demonstrated experience in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting
• Strong strategic planning skills, including managing resources, schedules, and budgets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders
