Team Lead Access Specialist - Admissions

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and mentorship to the patient access team to facilitate problem-solving and process improvements.
• Coach and develop team members using patient access standards, rules, and training methods.
• Assist management in optimizing processes for registration, pre-registration, pre-service estimates, and point-of-service collections.
• Support departmental quality improvement initiatives to ensure accurate registration and denial prevention.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external departments and clinics.
• Utilize approved de-escalation techniques to engage customers in the absence of a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma required (Associate degree preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in patient access or a large hospital/medical front office.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, insurance, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in customer service and data collection processes.
• Ability to obtain Clarivate Certified Access Specialist Certification within one year of hire.
