About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach two in-person undergraduate psychology courses per semester at the Cedar Rapids campus
- Participate in psychology faculty department activities and advise undergraduate psychology majors
- Engage in face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching modalities as needed
- Contribute to impactful, evidence-based learning experiences for students
- Engage in ongoing professional development appropriate to the discipline
- Support the mission of a learner-centered Catholic higher education model
Requirements
- Doctorate (ABD considered) or Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience
- Ability to teach in both in-person and online modalities
- Ability to teach broadly in clinical or applied areas (e.g., Theories of Counseling, Abnormal Psychology, Health Psychology, Tests and Measurements, Psychology of Trauma, or Lifespan Development)
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in the field
- Experience teaching specific psychology courses within a university setting
