About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with departmental initiatives including Spanish Table, Spanish Club, and the departmental newsletter
  • Support the Volunteer Student Teaching program and the Teaching Assistant program
  • Host the weekly Spanish-language campus radio show
  • Assist a faculty member with the instruction of one Spanish language course per semester
  • Engage with diverse student populations to support an inclusive educational environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Instructor or Teaching Assistant in Spanish language and/or Hispanic cultures
  • Advanced-intermediate level proficiency in spoken English
  • Ability to demonstrate experience working with diverse student populations
