About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach two in-person undergraduate biology courses per semester at the Davenport campus
- Participate in biology faculty department activities and service
- Engage in face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching modalities as needed
- Contribute to a learner-centered model for Catholic higher education
- Commit to evidence-based innovation to create impactful learning experiences for students
- Engage in ongoing professional development appropriate to the academic discipline
Requirements
- Doctorate (ABD considered) or Master's degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related field
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience
- Ability to teach in-person and online
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching specific microbiology and immunology courses
- Ability to teach broadly across various biological disciplines
