Teaching Faculty - School of Social Work

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate-level social work and sociology courses using in-person, online, and hybrid methods
• Prepare, design, and deliver engaging lectures and course content
• Create and administer course assignments, examinations, and other assessments
• Proactively advise and support student success through regular office hours and engagement
• Contribute to curriculum development and program accreditation efforts
• Participate in school and university committees and departmental activities
• Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff

Requirements

• MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program
• At least two years of full-time, post-master’s professional social work experience
• PhD or doctorate in social work or a related discipline (candidates in final stages may be considered)
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• A strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Must be an SDA church member in good and regular standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 completed graduate credits in sociology
• Teaching experience at the BSW and/or MSW levels
• A degree in theology or SDA religious studies
