About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver classroom instruction for MSN and DNP programs, including nurse practitioner specialty courses
- Use technology and innovative methods to deliver quality course content and engage students effectively
- Create and administer classroom and clinical assignments, assessments, and evaluations
- Support students through didactic instruction, clinical oversight, skills training, and simulation
- Engage in student advisement and hold regular office hours
- Participate in assigned committees and contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes
- Maintain professional credentials, licenses, and certifications
- Promote a positive spiritual and emotional environment in all interactions
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in nursing
- Current advanced practice (APRN) certification, license, and clinical experience
- Teaching experience in nursing higher education, including classroom and clinical settings
- Member in good and regular standing in the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church
- Expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the SDA Church
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or significant education in Lifestyle Medicine
