About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business analytics.
- Develop innovative course materials using data tools, case studies, and global simulations.
- Provide academic, career, and spiritual advising to students, maintaining regular office hours for accessibility.
- Facilitate experiential learning opportunities such as student clubs, industry networking, and study tours.
- Contribute to departmental and university committees and participate in curriculum development and accreditation efforts.
- Integrate biblical principles and Seventh-day Adventist values into the study of applied business economics.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in economics, or a doctorate with a master's degree in economics or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the area of expertise.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in for-profit sectors.
- Strong commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Must be a Seventh-day Adventist church member in good and regular standing.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level with a focus on student-centered, experiential learning.
- Ability to bridge economic theory with practical business applications like competitive strategy and supply-chain resilience.
