Teaching Faculty - School of Business (Economics)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business analytics.
• Develop innovative course materials incorporating data tools, case studies, and global simulations aligned with SDA values.
• Provide academic, career, and spiritual advising to students, maintaining regular office hours for accessibility.
• Facilitate experiential learning through student clubs, industry networking, and study tours.
• Contribute to departmental and university committees and support curriculum development and accreditation.
• Integrate biblical principles into the study of applied business economics and international stewardship.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in economics, or a doctorate with a master's degree in economics or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the area of expertise.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in for-profit sectors.
• Strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
• Must be a Seventh-day Adventist church member in good and regular standing.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking fluently).

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate or graduate levels with a focus on student-centered, experiential learning.
• Ability to bridge economic insight with practical business applications such as competitive strategy, pricing, and supply-chain resilience.
