About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel safe and able to learn
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development while maintaining high expectations of behaviour
  • Support the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom and the delivery of a broad curriculum
  • Contribute to high-quality, differentiated educational activities to help pupils achieve their full potential
  • Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and spiritual well-being
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team, including teachers and therapy teams

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade 4 (C) or equivalent
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or currently working towards it)
  • Knowledge and experience working with pupils with SEMH and ASD
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle

About the Company

The Aurora Group operates Eccles and White House Schools in Quidenham, Norwich. We provide specialist day placements for students aged 5 to 16 who have communication, interaction, or specific learning difficulties.
