Teaching Assistant Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach eight courses per academic year (four classes per semester)
• Instruct sections of the innovative Foundations in Rhetoric course
• Teach upper-division courses within the instructor's area of specialization
• Engage with departmental and university faculty through collaboration

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or a terminal degree
• Five years of teaching experience or suitable professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in workplace writing or technical writing
• Strong commitment to teaching first-year writing
• Knowledge of effective and inclusive teaching techniques and strategies
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
• Ability to contribute to fostering diversity in the campus, curriculum, and discipline
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across the university
