About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support identified children in 1:1, group, or whole class situations to ensure safety and access to learning
- Assist in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies
- Help evaluate student progress through agreed assessment activities
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers regarding children's achievement and needs
- Lead small group sessions and interventions as appropriate
- Assist in preparing the learning environment and carrying out administrative tasks to support the teacher
Requirements
- Experience working directly with young people in an education or training environment
- Experience establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with various stakeholders
- Strong workload management skills and the ability to be responsible for your own tasks
- Basic knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and learning barriers

- Relevant experience working with children
- Relevant educational qualifications
