Teaching Assistant (Early Years), SSD

Responsibilities

• Support the Intervention Specialist and Special Education Teacher in delivering educational programs and behavioral strategies.
• Assist students in practicing skills and building independence throughout the school day.
• Collect and share observations and data as directed by teaching staff.
• Follow instructional plans and feedback provided by teachers and specialists.
• Communicate professionally and collaborate effectively with school staff to ensure a nurturing environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children who require individualized support.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and professional collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and an excellent command of the English language.
• Proficiency in using computers and other forms of technology.
• Demonstrated flexibility, strong work habits, and a positive attitude.
• Strong professional references and a consistent attendance record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with students requiring additional support in an inclusive school setting.
• Relevant educational certificate or diploma.
