Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment for children
• Support pupil learning and development, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Work across both group and individual settings to support the Primary Stage Curriculum
• Assist in planning and delivering activities in Maths and Literacy
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt learning activities in consultation with teachers or the SENCo
• Encourage engagement, promote high expectations, and foster independence in pupils
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while acting as a professional role model

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade A-C (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working within a school setting
• Experience supporting KS1 and KS2 levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate IT skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• A calm, professional, and flexible approach to teamwork
