Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with all aspects of the written, taught, and assessed curriculum both inside and outside the classroom
• Support teachers and administration with classroom and school preparations, including lamination, photocopying, and displaying student work
• Provide diligent and appropriate supervision of students within the school and during off-site excursions
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, grade-level planning sessions, and professional development opportunities
• Provide translation services when deemed necessary by the Principal or classroom teacher
• Plan and prepare Vietnamese cultural celebrations and school assemblies
• Perform yard duty and cover classroom teacher responsibilities if a substitute is unavailable
• Maintain classroom stationery and assist with other professionally-related duties as directed

Requirements

• Ability to support the delivery of the Host Country Studies program for non-Vietnamese students
• Strong communication skills to facilitate translation and collaboration with staff and students
• Commitment to student supervision and safety during school hours and excursions
• Flexibility to assist with after-school activities and special school events
