Teacher's Aide - Ed Tech III

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and instructional assistance for K-8 students in a special purpose private school program
• Assist students with lesson assignments and individual learning needs
• Plan and prepare teaching aids to support classroom instruction
• Coordinate instructional efforts in collaboration with the school team
• Manage small classroom settings, typically ranging from 4-6 students

Requirements

• Minimum of 90 college credit hours (Certification as ED Tech III/BHP can be acquired through employment)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to instruct students and exercise effective decision-making
• Ability to assume and delegate responsibilities
• Flexibility and energy to work within a professional team environment
• Availability to work a 200-day calendar plus a required six-week summer school schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field
• Background in Special Education
• Experience working with students with social and emotional needs
