Responsibilities

• Build and uphold Primer’s Take Kids Seriously culture
• Know every student’s academic level, strengths, and needs
• Build trusting relationships with families
• Teach daily lessons in reading, writing, and math through small-group instruction (K-2) or literacy and math support (3-8)
• Run high-quality Pursuits, Primer’s interdisciplinary curriculum for applied learning
• Use digital platforms to monitor student progress and manage daily rhythms
• Lead parent conferences and support admissions through campus tours
• Maintain a classroom culture where students feel respected, known, and safe
• Ensure students follow school routines, expectations, and safety procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience as a lead teacher, homeschooling parent, or child care provider for K-8 kids
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and teammates
• Ability to create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction and progress tracking
• Proactive mindset and strong organizational skills
• Ability to make decisions independently and work in a fast-paced environment
